Safety Management

HR4's Safety Management service results in the development of a comprehensive safety case - built up with evidence collected during the acquisition cycle. Safety cases fulfil the duty of care for the safety of the personnel, the use of equipment and safe actions within an environment.

We conform to new or existing standards in this area, and do so within our tailored Safety Management service.

Development of Safety Management Systems

In accordance with HR4's Safety Management Methodology (see below) we develop a rational, coherent and auditable argument through the provision of a fully documented safety case.

• The use of a closed loop data management system provides a transparent audit trail, ensuring that due diligence has been observed and implemented by all stakeholders.
• With input from all stakeholders, including the nominated Training Authority, Technical Publications Authority and other related organisations, there may be a requirement to act on and develop aspects of the safety management case.
• Safety verification may be carried out through the appointment of an independent safety auditor, who provides an impartial review of the management process and outputs.

Safety Management Methodology

HR4's Safety Management Methodology is centred on a logical approach, in close collaboration with the customer, Design Authority and Subject Matter Experts. A Safety Management forum is convened, managed by HR4 and consisting of all stakeholder representatives, which acts as the body which is collectively responsible for endorsing all aspects of safety, prior to final acceptance of the Safety Case Report.

Evaluating safety risks and implementing appropriate controlling measures, we make every effort to ensure that risk is reduced as low as is reasonably practicable.

HR4 offer a fully independent Safety Review service.
