SPARES SUPPORT

HR4 provides spares support solutions to commercial and Government agencies based on a structured and controlled process, designed to deliver a comprehensive spares package.  HR4 carries out careful and detailed analysis to ensure that a cost-effective spares recommendation is reached, which meets the customer and end user requirements and is affordable to the project team.

METHODOLOGY

HR4 methodology is centred on identifying the clients’ equipment support policy, which sets the guidelines and parameters for the detailed analysis.  HR4 will work closely with the equipment manufacturer to analyse the Bill of Materials (BOM) and develop a physical or functional Equipment Breakdown Structure (EBS).  The hierarchical structure of the EBS is the key to not only the provision of the appropriate spares but forms the basis for the Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC).  The EBS is further developed to include a Logistic Control Number (LCN), a discrete identifier for every component, which in turn facilitates the detailed examination required for the Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).

DEFCON 82

HR4 has experience in producing detailed spares recommendations in the required DEFCON 82 format.  The final output, in electronic format, can provide recommended spares holdings, for a given time period, for all Lines of Support, as required by the Equipment Support Policy.

PRIMING EQUIPMENT PACKS

HR4 has experience in producing detailed Priming Equipment Packs (PEPs), which are task-based spares lists.  These spares listings can be further manipulated with fielding and repair algorithms to determine spares ranging and scaling requirements to support one or more training and/or operational deployments. 

THROUGH-LIFE MANAGEMENT

Continual analysis of failure and spares usage history can be used to re-examine the initial provisioning range and scaling to ensure that these are modified to meet the customer’s changing situation and needs,

providing an up-to-date, appropriate and cost-effective spares package.
